Lush green vegetation across Botswana in February is more than a reason for you to pack up and visit this South African country.

February is a power pack in Botswana with so much on offer. It is the month when all that is green in this land colours best and tourism rates are low. Though the rainfall is frequent, temperatures hit highs of 320 C and lows of 190 C.

It is during this time of the year when herbivores give birth under the cushion of lush green vegetation on the ground and because the sights are clear – they can spot predators from far. The most amazing part of Botswana in February is the conspicuously green bush scape.

Generally, February is a safari month in Botswana heralded by the fact that game lovers have rates is low. It is an opportune moment to visit the Central Kalahari Game Reserve; animals love the warm but humid weather that brings with it a lot of vegetation to feed on.

New-born impala and zebra are seen trotting at the Central Kalahari National Park and hundreds of wildlife flock the Makgadikgadi and Kalahari pan to drink water. Bird watching in not left behind either especially for the migratory bird – African skimmer and wattled crane – and other species.

The beautiful waterlilies at the Okavango Delta have at this time blossomed and their colourful sight is comparable to no other. They provide good grounds for photography.

Other places to visit include Chobe National Park and Moreni Game Reserve.
