Dave Chappelle Nairobi concert tickets sold out in a record two hours on Monday. The American comedian and actor will perform at the Louis Leakey Auditorium on Wednesday, May 29.
Punchline Comedy Kenya put together the concert with tickets going for $54 (Ksh7,000). They were all out in 120 minutes after posting on their Instagram page.

A-list Kenyan comedians will also perform at the concert which fueled the huge uptake of the concert tickets. Lu Savali and Ciru Mwangi, two Kenyan comedians, will perform before the Emmy Award-winning American celebrity. Ciru excitedly said that she could never imagine in her lifetime that she would perform alongside Chappelle.
“I will be one of two opening acts for Dave Chappelle, even in my wildest dreams I had not seen this,” she posted on her Instagram page.

However, Chappelle will only perform for 300 guests which the concert organizers pushed for. He only wanted 100 guests maximum for the Kenyan concert.
