South Africa is what could be best described as a complete package when it comes to travel and tourism. From dazzling and idyllic beaches, game parks, state-of-the-art shopping malls; South Africa is the best place for a family vacation and here is why;

National parks with the Big Five

The sight of buffalos, leopards, lions, rhinos and elephants (the big five) crowns the experience of game viewing. South Africa’s Kruger National Park is one of the many parks with an array of wildlife besides the big five.

It is easy to move around as well as Addo Elephant Park in Garden Route. In total, South Africa has about 300 mammal species and over 850 bird species.

 Breathtaking Natural Wonders

South Africa has spectacular attractions all over with the Drakensberg Mountains being one of them. The Drakensberg Mountain exploration is family-friendly and exciting, so is Table Mountain which overlooks Cape Town. Table Mountain’s topographical nature is a major attraction for tourists and cable cars that operate at the mountain.

South Africa’s Winelands are also a sight to behold. They spread across the Western Cape and it is here that South Africa’s reputation as the world’s ninth-largest producer is stamped. Route 62 has the longest vineyards and brandy cellars spreading across thousands of acres of land.

Modern cities and shopping malls

A tour to modern cities in South Africa starts in the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town. Cape Town has a bubbly reputation, perhaps due to the rich cultural heritage and food. It is against this backdrop that makes it the most visited city in Africa.

Johannesburg, on the other hand, embodies luxury and opulence. Some of South Africa’s exquisite malls are in Joburg. They offer anything from designer clothes, perfumes, shoes, jewellery to international cuisines.

World-class accommodation

South Africa has an unbeaten record in regards to its accommodation facilities. Depending on your taste; it offers the best in world-renowned hotels,modern-like but traditionally styled lodges and camps.

Whales

Whales are a rare sight in many parts of the world but they are a common phenomenon in South Africa’s coastal bay of Hermanus. Usually, the whales migrate from cold waters in Europe and find a haven in South African waters.
