Today, she identifies as a ‘Black Woman’ with her acquired dark skin tone to push her identity as an African. She is vocal about her plans to relocate permanently to Africa. Her German husband, 38-year-old Michael Eurwen shares the same dream.

She trained as a flight attendant and met her husband Michael, who is a pilot, during her career. However, she quit her airline job in 2012 to pursue modelling. Her new passion soon brought her to the screen, and she also became an actress.

When Did Big and Michael Become Black?
Martina Big and her husband took melanotan injections in 2017. She took a trip to Kenya in 2018 to Kenya and lived for months. The model turned influencer is considering Kenya and Namibia. Namibia has a well-blended German tradition. Over 20, 000 Namibians speak fluent German being a former German colony. Communal harmony and a general way of life make the Samburu and Maasai cultures admirable.
The couple planned to relocate to Africa shortly after Big’s Kenyan visit in 2018. However, the pandemic struck in 2020 and put on hold all these plans. Five years later, her husband has doubts about her ability to earn while permanently located in Africa. Martina Big explains that the US and Europe currently earn most of the gigs she is engaged in.
Nevertheless, Malaika Kubwa adds, that living in Africa doesn’t diminish her ability to earn from the same.
