Mountain biking across Kenya’s grassland is breathtaking and a sure-fire way to not only enjoy but also appreciate Kenya’s wildlife.

Dry but dusty is Hells Gate National Park in Rift Valley which is adventurously phenomenal with mountain biking. The park does not have large mammals making cycling very safe. It is ultimately a cycle on the wild side of the park.

Hells Gate measures 68.25 square km. It is synonymous with the bearded vulture heralded by the geological and topographical nature within the environs of Lake Naivasha where it is situated.

It was once a tributary of Lake Naivasha but is today’s scenic park with Fischer’s Tower, Central Tower columns and Hell’s Gate Gorge.

Biking is common in Hells Gate National Park. While on the pedals at the park, herds of zebras, giraffes, impalas and buffalos grazing are quite a spectacle. Other common animals to see are bison, spot rock hyraxes, klipspringers.

Besides biking, Hells Gate National Park is a family destination into the wild with great picnic sites.
