Morocco’s landscape and the scenery are unrivalled, bringing with it an adventure and exciting escapades. Marrakech being the host to the Atlas Mountains gives the best mountain adventure while the valleys surrounding it raises the bar by the availability of numerous exciting activities visitors can engage in.

Viator is offering a tour of the Atlas Mountains and four valleys: Ourika, Oukaimeden, Sidi, Fares and Asni valleys for $61.

A guided tour of Atlas Mountains. See the snow-capped peaks of the legendary mountains and head for Ourika valley which is characterised by waterfalls. It takes about 1hr 20 min to explore the sceneries within the waterfalls including visiting Berber women known for the extraction of argan oil. A tour to Oukaimeden valley follows. Surprisingly, it stands at 1800m above sea level, a distance that separates it from Sidi Fares valley which has a rich Berber culture.

To immerse yourself into the Berber culture, you will have traditional Berber food prepared for lunch such as Berber tagine, Morrocan salad and Morrocan couscous. The last valley to tour is Asni, the valley of fruits. Apple, walnuts, almonds, peaches and other types of fruits are well lined up in Asni which is the gateway to Toubkal mount with the highest peak at 13.665 ft.

Head to Lake Takerkoust, Morocco’s artificial lake with sapphire-blue waters. It is surrounded by vast wheat fields and a stretching village to Kik Plateau- famous for limestone. Kik Plateau gives a picturesque view of the four valleys around the Atlas Mountains.
