On the walls are photos and names of some of the estimated half a million people killed during Mengistu’s reign of terror. There are display cabinets filled with human belongings dug out of mass graves and you’ll also see some skulls and other bones belonging to real people. In one of the display cases is a watch which was given to a woman by her husband when he was led away by soldiers of the Derg.
