Egypt is with no doubt a prestigious travel destination with so much to offer from desert escapades, cruising in River Nile to sight-seeing of ancient works.

Trip advisor is offering a nine-day tour package for  Cairo and Alexandria at $450. Here is what to expect from this tour.

Day One: Spend a night in one of Cairo’s best hotels.

Day Two: A visit to the Egyptian Museum Some of the highlights at the museum includes over 250,000 artefacts collected more than 5,000 years ago. You will also view the Tutankhamen room which has jewellery and gold enclosed for the last 3,500 years.

The next stop; the Great Pyramids in Cairo.

Day Three: A luxurious cruise on the River Nile. A domestic flight will take you to Aswan where you will board the Cruise. Lunch is served on board as you sail to Kom Ombo before visiting the famous temple shared by Sobek and Haroeris gods. Another sail to Edfu awaits in the evening. Dinner is served and a night party follows.

Day Four: Visit the temple of Edfu after breakfast and later sail to Luxor. In the evening, rock the Galabaya party and spend a night in Luxor.

Day Five: The Nile Cruise continues with a tour to the Valley of the Kings in West Bank. A visit to the Temple of Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon is included.

Day Six: A brief tour of Luxor before flying back to Cairo for dinner.

Day Seven: Travel to Alexandria’s library. It is the biggest in the world with eight million books. The library’s architectural design marvellous. The second stop is the Site of the Lighthouse which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and houses the castle of Qaitbey. Spend a great night in Alexandria.

Day Eight: Departure  Alexandria to Cairo.

Day Nine: Leave for the airport
