He had a tour of Nairobi and Kiambu Counties. Tatu City is at the heart Ruiru Constituency, Kiambu County. It’s a 5000-acre mixed-use premier model city designed to work and live in. Beyond his official engagement with HQ Kenya House, ‘Ghost’ as he is famously known in the TV series Power hoped to learn a thing or two about Kenyan culture.
Speaking after landing at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), he said that the Kenyan culture is a big fascination that he hopes to learn before leaving Kenya. True to it, Maasai garments locally known as lesos marked Omari Hardwick Kenyan visit. He graciously draped a Maasai shuka over his designer outfit, making him a full African son. His entourage from Tatu City also had the same Maasai shuka over their shoulders.
Additionally, he will engage with ‘Chocolate City’ cast. This new Showmax series will premiere on March 20. The crime drama features Kenya’s top actors such as Jimmy Gathu, a radio personality turned actor.
Who Owns HQ Kenya House?
American investor John Burns is a co-founder of HQ Kenya House. Burns is a managing partner of The Burns Brothers, an exclusive member-only club located in Washington D.C. The intent behind setting up the exclusive, members-only club in Tatu City is to bridge the gap between Black Americans and Africa. Being at the club helps them connect easily to African roots and do business. They chose Tatu City as their base due to its exclusive nature as a mixed-use residential area. With Omari Hardwick Kenyan visit, Burns is optimistic that his presence will inspire more Black Americans to come together and work towards elevating the Black community standards across the world.
