Kenyan festivals themed around culture and fun never disappoint. In November, the Festival In The Forest ushers the holiday mood.
The first-ever 2019 Festival In The Forest edition will go down on November 3 at Brackenhurst in Limuru, bringing together nature lovers to enjoy a day beneath the trees. Brackenhurst sits on 100 acres of land and is expansively covered by indigenous trees. It is a world-class conference centre and a top eco-destination in Kenya.
For business personalities who would still want to do business and have fun at the festival, there will be a craft fair feature at the festival while aerial acrobats and on-stage jazz artistes entertain guests.
Kids will have a unique experience riding in a tractor at the expansive forest grounds, and get a chance to feed animals at the petting zoo. The breeze at the forest’s walking tracks is refreshing and calls for leisure walks.
Traditional African food will be available, among them charcoal-grilled meat which is symbolic with the Kenyan culture. A flea market will also feature at the festival.
