What comes to your mind when you think of Kenya luxury safari packages? Well, this is a unique opportunity to experience the country’s beautiful scenery and diverse wildlife in style.

If watching wildlife is the reason you’re travelling to Kenya, then you won’t be disappointed. And this is because the East African country boasts some of the best game-viewing areas in the world. From the croc-filled Mara River and the lionesses roaming dusty savannah to herds of elephants in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, Kenya has it all.

But there is more to holidays in Kenya than just watching the big five animals in their natural habitat. And that’s where Kenya luxury safari packages come in.

Some of the features of these packages include access to private game parks and conservancies, offering a more authentic safari experience. You’ll also enjoy elegant accommodations, which include tented camps and luxurious lodges with all the necessary amenities.

But that’s not the end of it; you are yet to enjoy bush walks, balloon rides and cultural interactions with the locals. You also get personalized services from trained staff and experienced guides throughout the trip. These packages are typically more expensive than standard safari packages, but the experience is worth it.

How Much is a Luxury Safari Kenya?

Kenya luxury safari packages costs between $4,000 and $13,000. They offer a high degree of customization and even allow you to choose the kind of activities you would want in your safari.

The accommodation is usually five-star hotels and lodges that are picturesque and exclusive. Luxury safaris do not hold anything back in terms of amenities.

Some of the things you expect in these safaris include airport meet and greet with private transfers, private vehicles & guides, a private lounge and dining area, internet access and breakfast in bed.

Which is the Best Safari in Kenya?

Are you planning a trip to Kenya but not sure where to begin? Well, it’s good to note that the best safari depends on your preference.

If your aim is to experience the best iconic migration safaris, then The Maasai Mara should be your destination. The Mara is home to nearly 90 species of mammals and birds and also hosts the Wildebeest Migration between July and October.

If you want a quiet and uncrowded safari, then Meru National Park is the place to go. Meru is one of Kenya’s least-visited national parks, so don’t be surprised if you notice few tourists there. It is home to over 60 lions as well as a whole host of other wildlife.

Kenya’s best safari for postcard views is Amboseli National Park. This is where the photographs of animals with the backdrop of the glaciers of Mount Kilimanjaro are taken.

Is Kenya or Tanzania Better For Safari?

If you’re travelling to Africa for a safari, then the most important factors to consider are the quality of national parks and the abundance of wildlife.

Both Kenya and Tanzania are ideal wildlife destinations for tourists. They house Africa’s largest intact wild space, the Serengeti ecosystem. The Serengeti is home to millions of animals, such as lions, elephants, leopards and buffaloes. It is also home to the annual Wildebeest Migration, which is recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World.

This important ecosystem (Serengeti) is in the form of two protected areas; in Tanzania, it’s the Serengeti National Park, and in Kenya, it’s known as the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Besides the Serengeti ecosystem, both Kenya and Tanzania are home to other great game reserves. Tanzania has Lake Manyara, Arusha, Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater, just to mention a few. On the other hand, Kenya has Tsavo, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli and Lake Naivasha, among others.

So, to sum up, Tanzania and Kenya are two of the best destinations for a wildlife safari. And you can never go wrong with Kenya luxury safari packages.

How Much Do You Tip A Safari Driver in Kenya?

It is customary to tip your driver-guide on the last day you are with him or her. If there are four to six travellers in a vehicle, approximately Ksh. 600 or 700 per person is considered a good tip for your driver.

But if a vehicle has two to three travellers, you may consider tipping the driver-guide between Ksh. 700 and 900 per traveller. This is slightly higher in recognition of the individual attention they have given to the smaller size group.
