Fajara region in The Gambia is well known for its classy and stylish nature being a top residential area for expatriates and Gambians with deep pockets.

The region oozes tranquillity, opulence in addition to the beautiful rocky landscape with several beaches dotting the region. Fajara is sandwiched between the prestigious Kotu region in Western Gambia and Bakau.

Fajara’s glory just doesn’t start and end with the prestige the area exudes, it is further amplified by the magnificent Ngala Lodge that has taken tourism in The Gambia to another level.

Ngala Lodge is one of the few establishments in the region with a Penthouse for its guest located in a highly serene area ridden with a series of cliffs overlooking the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Its allure has earned it the “adult-only” lodge badge. Children below 16 years are not allowed into the facility.

For four years in a row, the 24-suite Ngala Lodge scooped Certificate of Excellence award by TripAdvisor, victory pegged on its dedication to giving the best of experiences while in The Gambia. From the surroundings, beautified with sculptures of different African wild animals among them hippos and penguins, it tells you of a lodge beating odds to offer the luxury by any means possible.

A variety of accommodation facilities ranging from Suite, Suite 10, Manor 1 Bedroom Suite, Atlantic Suite, Macondo Suite and Macondo Pool and the Penthouse crowns it all. The suites are spacious with attractive views of the Atlantic Ocean. Each suite is unique in its way, some having a mini-library, private garden while the Macondo suites have a private infinity pool.

The beachfront is a perfect place to enjoy the African sunshine while relaxing on the sun loungers and parasols built on a decking area when the tides are high. This is a recommended spot for lovers to relax over a drink r while enjoying the aura of the ocean.

In-houses chefs eclectically mix up different cuisines earning the hotel a spot in the books of hotels in the Gambia offering sumptuous meals.
