Nearly five months after its closure following COVID-19 pandemic, five-star Sankara Hotel in Nairobi has opened its doors for business.

However, it makes a comeback with a relatively small workforce of 100 staff members given the hard economic times it has to operate within during this time.

Sankara’s Group General Manager, Krishna Unni, told AFP that all service will still be available even with a leaner workforce.

Restaurant services, conferencing facilities and room services remain operational as the hotel gets back to business.

Further, the amazing Sarabi Rooftop restaurant will also be in service daily starting 8 am to 8 pm. For steak lovers, Sankara’s Graze Steakhouse restaurant will be running from noon to 8 pm daily.

Sankara joins a list of other big names in the industry that have resumed business following the resumption of international flights on August 1.

Safari Park Hotel, a five-star hotel in the outskirts of the central business district of the city is already operational and has tapped on online orders to boost business.

Hemingways Nairobi, Stedmark Gardens, all five-star establishments in the posh Karen area are also operational.

Sankara enjoys its prime positioning at the heart of Westlands, a nerve centre for Nairobi’s workforce and posh residential area.

It features six world-class bars serving you the drink of choice, be it local or exotic. The drinks are served as per your liking, in cocktail or plain. Sankara’s restaurants meet your craving for international cuisine especially steak with an African touch but a continental savour.

To fully immerse yourself in the aura of this upper zone of Kenya’s capital, Sankara has 168 spacious and beautifully furnished rooms and a big rooftop pool to unwind.
