A trip to Morocco’s Zagora desert is one of those exciting and defining moments as you ride for hours on a camelback. This North African country has a reputation for giving the world’s best desert tour experiences.
A two-day tour to Zagora Desert is up for grabs for just $63. The journey begins from Marrakech, a popular town in Morocco and traverses through the Atlas mountains with several stops in historic, cultural and natural sites.
A camel ride comes in handy while trekking the desert and it is the most enjoyable part of the two-day Zagora Desert trip. It is much more comfortable compared to a motor ride from Marrakech to the camping site in Zagora. Sunset is incredibly amazing while in the desert atop a camelback.A three-course meal is served for dinner starting with soup which is traditionally prepared and ends with a bowl of locally consumed fruits which are sweet. The night in the middle of the desert does not end without a treat to musical performances by a bonfire before hitting the sack in the neatly-arranged tent.

On the second day of the trip, breakfast is served – not so heavy – but it is good. Thereafter, the desert tour continues with a visit to Ouarzazate to a cooperative women’s rug shop for a cup of tea/water. You also learn more about Moroccan culture.
After this historical tour at the tea shop, the journey to Marakkech begins.More about African adventure:
