The summit was held at Bletchley Park on November 1st and 2nd, 2023

The UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak hosted the summit, which was attended by over 100 officials from 28 countries 

The summit aimed to establish a shared understanding of the risks posed by frontier AI and the need for action 

The attendees discussed a forward process for international collaboration on frontier AI safety, including how best to support national and international frameworks 

Appropriate measures which individual organizations should take to increase frontier AI safety were also discussed 

Areas for potential collaboration on AI safety research, including evaluating model capabilities and the development of new standards to support governance were identified

The summit showcased how ensuring the safe development of AI will enable AI to be used for good globally 

The attendees signed a ‘Bletchley Declaration’, saying countries need to establish a common approach on oversight 

The UK is consistently recognized as a world leader in AI and is well placed to lead these discussions
