Most famous Kenyan clan outside Kenya

Tourists may know the Maasai tribe best. Kenya's Maasai are more known.

The Maasai consume cow's blood to strengthen and warm their bodies, especially children and the elderly.

The Maasai tribe lives in small villages of 8-15 houses surrounded by thorn bush fences.

Besides making the dung home, Maasai women and girls have several responsibilities.

Boys turn 15 and become Morani (young warriors) when they are circumcised and hunt a lion with a spear.

Children in the tribe are important in rituals like singing for rain during a drought to bring rain.

The Maasai (Masai) now make extra money by selling tourists beads, masks, and carvings.
