 Sudan is a country located in northeastern Africa, bordered by Egypt to the north, Ethiopia to the east, South Sudan to the south, and Chad and Libya to the west.

 Khartoum is the capital and largest city of Sudan.  Arabic is the official language of Sudan, but English is also widely spoken, particularly in urban areas.
