National Theatre Lagos is the place where all performing arts shows are held. It was built in mid-1970’s but still exudes some commanding force regarding its architectural design that is hat-shaped. It sits on a 23,000 square metres piece of land and towers 31 metres high. It has a capacity for 5,000 people.

On the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in Egypt’s amazing city of Alexandria is the Bibliotheca Alexandrina library, one of the most beautiful buildings in the entire country. Bibliotheca Alexandrina serves as a cultural centre and has a capacity of holding eight million books. It has a specialized section for maps and multimedia as well as those for the blind. It also has four museums, art galleries – temporary exhibitions and 15 permanent exhibitions.
